Privacy policy
No accounts, no ads, no cross-site tracking. Your ticked list never leaves your device. That is basically the whole page.
Most privacy pages are written by lawyers for other lawyers. This one is written by a guy who drives his wife to Pop Mart stores, so it is short.
No accounts. No ads. Nothing follows you around. Your ticked list never leaves your device.
That is genuinely it. The rest is detail.
Your collection lives on your device
When you tick a figure, it is saved in your browser. Not on a server. I cannot read it, and there is no route by which I could.
Private, but fragile — all of these wipe it:
- Clearing browser data
- Opening the site on a different device
- Private browsing, then closing the tab
So the collection page has a save-to-file button. Once you have ticked a decent number, press it. Future you will be grateful.
No accounts
No sign-up, no login, no email, no phone number. Nothing to leak, because no personal data is collected.
No ads, no cross-site tracking
No ad networks, no social pixels, no cross-site behavioural tracking.
Page views and page speed
The site uses two tools from Vercel, the company that hosts it: Web Analytics to count page views, and Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load. I promised to update this page before switching on any visitor analytics. This is that update.
According to Vercel's documentation, both tools:
- use no third-party cookies,
- don't tie data to you as an individual or to your IP address,
- don't reconstruct which pages you browsed.
Web Analytics tells visits apart with a hash created from the request, and that session is thrown away after 24 hours. Each page view records: which page, the referring page, location at country and city level, operating system, browser and device type.
Speed Insights only records page-speed measurements, along with the page, country, browser, device type and network speed.
I use these numbers to see which articles get read and which pages are slow. That's it.
Who else sees anything
The site runs on other people's infrastructure — a host, and a database and image store — and both keep ordinary technical logs. Images load straight from the image store, so it sees those requests. The database holds data about blind box sets, not about you. Fonts are served by the site itself.
Listing them is not optional: data-protection rules say you get to know whose hands your data passes through.
Your rights, children, and changes
There is no personal data tied to you here, so there is nothing to request access to or delete. Your ticked list is on your device; clear it whenever. The site is not aimed at under-13s, and since it collects personal data from nobody, it collects none from them. The update date at the top changes whenever this page does.
